Completing Crypto Withdrawals
These articles explain how to complete a crypto withdrawal of MXNB tokens.
The Crypto Travel Rule (CTR) only applies when withdrawing amounts equal to or greater than 1,000 euros from your Juno account, and the recipient of the withdrawn funds is a non-Juno account. You use the same general-purpose endpoint to complete transactions under or transactions above or equal to this threshold. They differ only in the request body provided.
When the payment is above or equal to the 1,000-euro threshold, you need to send the Crypto Travel Rule data in the request at least once if the beneficiary is created in Juno's system. The subsequent transactions neither require the CTR data nor do they undergo the CTR flow. In contrast, when the beneficiary is not created, you must send the CTR data in every transaction.
Don't forget the fluctuations in the exchange rate
Consider that the exchange rate for crypto assets varies daily throughout the day. To ensure that the transaction approves the flow, Juno recommends verifying that your sent amount is within ±5% of the market price when the withdrawal occurs. Or, always send the Travel Rule information in your request if you find it more manageable.
However, creating contacts with the proper CTR information is the best way to ensure that your withdrawal requests undergo the CTR flow successfully.
The following articles provide the details for withdrawals under and above the CTR threshold.
