Flow
The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) transfer feature of your Bitso account enables you to seamlessly send and receive EUR funds using your USD stablecoin (USDC) balance.
To use this service, you must first complete our licensed partner’s customer onboarding process:
- Existing Customers Already Onboarded: Current clients already integrated with our licensed partner (customers using USD wires) can immediately access the SEPA transfer feature, pending any necessary documentation updates.
- Existing Customers Not Onboarded: Clients who first need to accept our licensed partner's Terms of Service and approve profile validation to enable SEPA transfers.
In addition, when transferring funds out of your Bitso account, you must first register your bank account in Bitso's system. You can use the SEPA payment rail only after completing the onboarding and registration steps.
Keep in mind the following considerations:
- Withdrawals: In your withdrawal requests, provide the account ID the system assigns to your external bank account during registration. This ID represents your account in Bitso's systems.
- Deposits: Your sender transfers the EUR funds to our licensed partner’s business bank account and Bitso credits your account with the equivalent amount of USD stablecoins at the current exchange rate. Request this account’s data via a deposit intent call.
