Getting Started

Learn the first steps to begin integrating the Multi-CLABE API.

Note that the following is of utmost importance: To gain access to the feature, you must first approve Bitso's traditional onboarding process, a KYC compliance assessment. Extra Due Diligence (request additional information) might sometimes be required. After a successful onboarding, our team can activate the feature only when you have signed an agreement and contract for this specific API.

In flow form, the following are the steps you must take:

  1. Contact our sales team at [email protected] to indicate your interest in the Multi-CLABE feature. Only business users are eligible to have this feature active in their accounts.

  2. Undergo and approve the KYC compliance assessment (Level 1). Some customers require extra Due Diligence to get the product. To go through the KYC process, you must create a Bitso business account (production environment) at the Bitso business register. The only way to access the API is through a Bitso account.

Meanwhile, you can create a testing account to evaluate the product. For further details on creating an account and generating API keys, see the section, Set Up Your Testing Environment. You can verify how to build signed requests in Authentication and explore the endpoints' documentation in the sections, How to Use the Service and API Reference.

  3. Sign the Multi-CLABE agreement and contract.

  4. If you are a non-Mexican institutional customer, you must enable International Payments in Mexican pesos (MXN), which entails activating MXN in your account and accepting the Terms and Conditions of Nvio Mexico. This action grants your account access to the SPEI® network. For further details, see the section, Enable International Payments in MXN.

  5. Email our Developer's Support Desk at [email protected] to request the activation of the Multi-CLABE feature. Provide your user ID in your message. Recall that the feature can become active only after completing Steps 2 and 3 entirely.
