How to Enable International Payments in MXN

You must use the Bitso web application to enable International Payments in MXN. No endpoint exists to perform this task, nor is it possible to do it via the mobile Bitso application.

Only business accounts that are Level 1 at least can have International Payments in MXN enabled. Account levels determine the limits your account has to transact monthly. For further details on account levels, refer to our Business Help Center.

To activate International Payments in MXN in your account:

Log into your production account (or testing account if it is the case).
Select Profile from the drop-down menu on the right corner where your name appears.
A sidebar menu appears on the left.
Select Currencies.
The My currencies page lists the following: the fiat currency currently active in your account, USD stablecoins as active, and Mexican pesos as possible to activate.
Click Activate in the Mexican pesos item.
The Terms and Conditions modal appears.
Click the checkbox to accept the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions of Nvio Pagos Mexico, enter your account password, and click Continue.
A page indicating you have activated the MXN currency appears. It also shows your default CLABE and account limits. You are all set to send and receive Mexican pesos via SPEI®!

If your account is below Level 1, a page indicating contacting our KYC team at
[email protected] appears. Our team will help you get your account to Level 1 and have International Payments in MXN active.
